The NSS unit of the college, established in 2005 has been organizing the following healthy activities and has received wide spread acclaim from the NAAC peer team in 2015.

a. Literacy and environmental awareness, Adult literacy campaign

b. AIDS awareness programmes

c. Health camp - checking of random Blood Sugar, Blood pressure and Eye test - in collaboration with IQAC and SHIS , an NGO.

d. Blood Donation Camps.

e. Seminars

f. Safai Abhijan

g. World No Tabacco Day.

h. Both the units have adopted a village each.

i. Mask distribution to mostly rickrhaw pullers and van drivers at Ghatakpukur in collaboration with the IQAC.

NSS service scheme - The NSS unit conducts special camps of 7days with various themes as per the instructions of the NSS wing of the Calcutta University. It has had awareness camps on malnutritution, AIDS in the adjoining village of the college. This year the camp was held by both the units of NSS.

The college intends to expend the activities of the units.

Presently there are two units of the NSS -

NSS Unit - I - Prof. Purnendu Sekhar Ray - Prog. Officer.

NSS Unit - II - Prof. Dr. Ali Raza - Prog. Officer.
